Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking a Field Service Industrial Maintenance Specialist to perform expert level break-fix and preventive maintenance on complex equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Extensive travel across local, national, and international sites may be required.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, an technical Associate degree, or substantial industry experience; CNC maintenance experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
• Associates degree with a Technical focus and 12 years of related experience in specific industry; or 15 years of experience in specific industry.
• Possesses comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools, and programming software as appropriate.
• Extensive travel required. (Local, National, International). Candidates can reside anywhere within the Continental U.S.
• Experience in condition based maintenance techniques, precision mechanical alignments, maintenance of applicable process equipment, and automation integration.
• Robust experience in programmable logic controllers, field device troubleshooting, maintenance of electrical drive and motor systems, and motion control devices.
• Personal Discipline.

Responsibilities

• Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance on complex equipment.
• Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary.
• Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards; creates maintenance standards and instructions.
• Directs customer counterparts in maintenance optimization efforts and preventative maintenance processes.
• May setup and operate machining operations including lathe, drill press, grinder; may perform welding tasks.
• Documents work performed in service reports and technical manuals.
• Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams.
• Alters, troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve software/hardware issues.
• Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
• Conducts on-the-job training and leads technical programs for customers and coworkers.
• Follows all safety policies and identifies unsafe conditions.
