Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to perform field engineering, site administration, and construction support at client project sites. This role is 100% in the field with travel across the United States.

You will assist the site construction lead with scheduling, quality control, daily reports, and coordination with subcontractors, ensuring drawings and specifications are followed and safety is upheld.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on overall field operations from scheduling, daily/quality control reports, conformances to drawings and specifications.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure adherence to project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review and record keeping.
• Take progress photographs and label each photograph for records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure latest design revisions are used.
• Assist in contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Maintain clear correspondence with project management and clients.

Education
