Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at a client project site. You will perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, quality control, and safety support under general supervision.

The role involves coordinating with the site construction lead, overseeing subcontractors, producing daily and progress reports, and ensuring drawings and specifications are followed. Travel is 100%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in construction management or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily/quality reports and subcontractor communications.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and conformance with drawings.
• Maintain project schedule and escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare and review Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports.
• Capture progress photos and label each image; support Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure latest design revisions are used and assist the Project Construction Manager as needed.
• May handle key trades/subcontractor coordination; assist with contract extras and payments.
• Maintain clear, professional correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records/files per CDM Smith requirements; comply with Quality Policy.
