Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Industrial Facilities Design team in Phoenix and other US offices. The role focuses on assisting senior PMs, preparing plans, budgets, and coordinating cross-functional teams on battery/complex projects.

You will engage with clients, manage low-complexity projects, and contribute to proposals. Travel to various offices or sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

CAPM Certification is encouraged.
1 year experience as an Engineer 1 or 3 years related experience.
Travel required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CADD.

Responsibilities

Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
Manage small or low-complexity projects under supervision.
Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
Be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
Follow procedures to administer project activities (cost estimating, correspondence, document controls).
Communicate client requirements to each discipline.
Participate in client contact and business development activities.
Assist in preparing proposals including low-complexity proposals.
Assist in collecting past due accounts.
Assist in training other Assistant Project Managers.
Attend client meetings for minutes and distribution.
Log RFIs, submittals, filing and weekly progress reports.
Coordinate paper flow and document control with clients/contractors.
May travel to other offices or client locations for coordination or training.
Coordinate printing and assembly of project documents for bids.
Distribute client as-recorded drawings and close-out documents.
Occasional travel may be required.
