Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech for 2nd shift in Mason, OH. The role involves basic and routine facility maintenance, construction, and repairs to meet safety and quality standards.

Requires 3–5 years of related experience and willingness to work long hours in a wet, cold environment. The technician will monitor water treatment and refrigeration systems, perform electrical inspections with basic test equipment, install gear, and keep detailed maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix electrical issues.
• English literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor water treatment facility performance to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain refrigeration system temperatures and energy efficiency per standards.
• Inspect electrical systems using basic test equipment to identify faults.
• Install and start up production machines and plant equipment.
• Record maintenance history and complete required paperwork.
• Follow lockout/tagout and GMP safety policies.
• Work long hours and weekends as needed.
