Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is hiring an onsite Building Maintenance Engineer in Kentucky to optimize daily operations and critical infrastructure for a manufacturing/production client.

You will lead maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems to support productivity and reliability. The role requires 4–5 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and Universal CFC certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Active driver's license required.
• Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on multiple information sources.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Sophisticated math skills for percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure facility systems meet applicable standards and regulations.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient operation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for operational design targets.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to build consensus.
