Job summary

ACO, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to repair and maintain mechanical equipment and PLC-based controls on production equipment.

You will diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults, perform welding fabrications, and support equipment installations and upgrades. The role requires a minimum of five years of hands-on experience and an Electrical Technician certification, with the ability to read schematics and operate basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an Electrical Technician certification program and hands-on experience (min. 5 years).
• Certificate in Equipment Maintenance from technical school or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must operate company vehicle and mobile equipment (forklift, reach forklift, scissor lift).
• Basic welding fabrication skills with ACR, MIG, TIG; strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting; PLC troubleshooting basics.
• Able to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and safety documents.
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical equipment systems and PLCs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, motor starters, proximity switches, photo-eyes, and I/O for repairs.
• Repair 480-3 phase and DC 24V systems, drives, load cells, and machine controls for minimal downtime.
• Install, retrofit, and upgrade electrical and mechanical systems.
• Operate machine tools safely and maintain maintenance workshop tools and inventory.
