Job summary

ACO, Inc. in OH is seeking a Maintenance Mold Development Technician to maintain production equipment and PLCs, perform preventive maintenance, and support upgrades. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, perform welding, and ensure safe, efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.

The role requires an Electrical Technician certification and at least five years of hands-on experience, with welding skills and PLC troubleshooting. Travel between plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an Electrical Technician certification program and hands-on experience for a minimum of five years.
• Certificate in Equipment Maintenance from technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must be able to operate company vehicle and mobile equipment (Forklift, Reach Fork, Scissor lift).
• Basic welding fabrications skills with ACR, MIG and TIG.
• Strong troubleshooting skill for electro-mechanical and building maintenance.
• Basic Computer/PLC troubleshooting skills; understanding of ladder logic is helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain production equipment; observe hazards and service needs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical systems and PLC I/O with root cause analysis.
• Repair 480-3 phase, DC 24V systems, and other control components quickly and safely.
• Install, retrofits, and upgrades on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Set up and operate tools; maintain shop and facility equipment.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and accurate repair records.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and SOPs for equipment.
• Travel occasionally between plants on all shifts.
• Comply with safety and quality policies.
