Job summary

RBD Packaging LLC is seeking an Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician to keep manufacturing and packaging operations running safely and efficiently across multiple sites in Southern California and Western Tennessee.

This full-time, salaried role covers hands-on installations, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of industrial machinery, with travel between sites as needed and strict adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial machinery.
• Experience with printing presses, cutters, slitters, and rewinders preferred.
• Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Analyze plans for new equipment, mapping floor space, utilities, and workflow.
• Lead and assist with installation and upgrade of machinery and production lines.
• Identify opportunities for equipment and process improvements.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical problems; manage parts inventory.
• Move and install machinery using hoists, lifts, hand tools, and power tools.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals to diagnose issues.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
• Calibrate equipment and perform adjustments to maintain quality.
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in CMMS or ERP.
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.
• Perform general building and facility maintenance tasks as needed.
• Follow safety requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
• Travel between sites to support installations and major repairs.
