Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a Junior/Senior in an accredited university program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Able to work a flexible summer schedule to include 40 hour work weeks during summer (June-August).
• Able to work independently, take initiative and drive for results with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of processes in Microsoft Windows, engineering software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Ability to understand and apply ISO work instructions and standard operating practices and procedures.
• Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces.
• Push and pull up to 90 lbs and carry 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills required. Must read, speak and understand English language in verbal and written communication.
• Previous internship experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train through the department to learn hands-on skills related to industrial/engineering technologies.
• Complete & Analyze time and motion studies.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projects.
• Work closely with other on the CMC Team work on process improvement initiatives & projects.
• Presentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internship.
• Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others.
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
