Job summary
Amway is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Ada, MI. You’ll contribute on the Industrial & Systems Engineering team with hands-on manufacturing projects to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.
The intern will collect data, observe processes, and develop practical solutions alongside manufacturing leaders and frontline staff, gaining exposure to Excel, data analysis, and process improvement on the plant floor.
Qualifications
- Students who will have completed their junior year by the start of the internship and have an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and April 2028.
- Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering or related technical disciplines.
- Experience with data collection, observations, and solving real manufacturing problems.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities, analyze manufacturing processes and data, engage stakeholders, test solutions, and drive recommendations through implementation.
- Work on the production floor with manufacturing leaders and frontline employees to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.
- Conduct time studies, workflow observations, and production analyses to identify bottlenecks and balance lines more effectively.
