Job summary

FORVIA is seeking an Industrial Engineering / Lean Manufacturing Intern to support plant operations with data-driven improvement projects. The role provides hands-on manufacturing experience applying IE and Lean principles to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

Interns gain mentorship, work on documented projects, and learn problem-solving methods while contributing value on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be available to work a consistent hourly schedule based on plant needs.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing or process improvement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the production floor observing operations and learning processes.
• Document current-state processes including process flow diagrams and layouts.
• Perform time studies and support standard work development.
