Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to support efficiency improvements and production process optimization in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in San Jose. You will contribute to layouts, process mapping, and continuous improvement while applying classroom knowledge to real projects.

The role offers hands-on exposure to Lean practices, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to build technical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Experience with manufacturing, process improvement, or industrial engineering is a plus.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with production line moves, layout modifications, and process change initiatives.
Support planning for equipment or process changes in manufacturing areas.
Maintain and update the Industrial Engineering Database (IEDB) and other systems.
Create and update production visuals, work instructions, and process documentation.
Assist with ordering, receiving, and validating production tooling and equipment.
Support process standardization aligned with Jabil standards.
Help ensure data accuracy to support Lean initiatives.
Participate in process improvement projects focused on efficiency and waste reduction.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations and projects.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
