Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a motivated engineering co-op to join our manufacturing team. You will work on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule from June through December, collaborating with operators, inspectors, and technicians to resolve daily issues and drive improvements.

You will design tooling and use 3D printing to support production, while analyzing layout, flow, and maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with cross-functional teamwork and problem solving is beneficial.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and continuous improvement concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session from June to December.
• Collaborate with production floor staff to solve day-to-day issues and long-term projects.
• Design tooling to aid manufacturing using 3D printing to support production needs.
• Analyze layout, flow, testing, troubleshooting, and modification of devices and systems.
• Help plan resource allocation to maximize equipment utilization.
• Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity, and inventory.
