Job summary

GE Aerospace invites students to join our Manufacturing Engineering Internship to build foundational skills in manufacturing and assembly processes. You will engage in new product and technology integration, continuous improvement, and cost-out initiatives, with a path toward MEDP/OMLP after graduation.

You will learn modern manufacturing methods, support engine assembly, and apply Lean/Six Sigma to improve productivity while ensuring safety and quality throughout the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Attending a full-time registered bachelor or graduate program.
• Willingness to work in any GE Aerospace U.S. location.
• Reliable transportation to sites without public transit.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for components and engine assembly.
• Maintain quality via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and SPC.
• Promote safe work conditions through EHS initiatives.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity, on-time delivery, and stability.
• Support delivery for sourced components with shops and suppliers; build project management, negotiation, and business acumen.
