Job summary

Collins Aerospace (RTX) is seeking a Systems Engineering Co-op to support a multidisciplinary team in verification, analysis, and documentation within a complex aerospace environment. You will assist with requirements interpretation, testing, and documenting findings while collaborating across disciplines.

The role emphasizes ownership of tasks, clear technical questions, and professional communication, with onsite work in the U.S. and opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related STEM discipline, enrolled through the co-op period.
• Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours by the start of the co-op.
• Experience with structured analytical or engineering workflows and documenting technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with requirements interpretation, structured testing activities, and analysis of system behavior.
• Document engineering observations and communicate results to mentors and teammates.
• Contribute to process improvements and strengthen traceability between requirements, evaluations, and results.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines and gain exposure to real-world systems engineering workflows.
• Participate in team meetings to review progress and plan weekly objectives.
