Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Senior Continuous Improvement Manager to lead CI across multiple operations, driving data-driven improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.

You will manage a CI/engineering/automation team and partner with senior leadership to shape strategic improvements. You will leverage Power BI, CAD/AutoCAD and Lean tools to analyze performance, develop KPIs, and coordinate start-ups, retrofits and expansions with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Master's degree preferred Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
• Nine years or more in Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals and manage performance.
• Lead development and execution of strategy, scorecarding and KPI action plans.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring on Ryder Business System concepts.
• Develop advanced competency in engineering methods, data analytics, Lean tools, and quality standards.
• Facilitate Value Stream Maps & Kaizen Events and drive CI projects across customer accounts.
