Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking an Industrial Engineer for product development and implementation on SSW and future programs. The role focuses on up-front development of industrial processes, integration with planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure accurate work packages and efficient manufacturing.

This on-site position is located in North Kingstown, RI with potential travel to New London.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 0–5 years of professional engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing processes or industrial engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Industrial Engineering processes for new products to be built.
• Collaborate with operations to verify work packages reflect the actual work.
• Develop product structure to feed planning information for quality work packages.
• Document, evaluate and improve construction sequences.
• Estimate cost, schedule and manpower using available tools; provide recommendations.
