Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the Sentinel program. You will track lab hardware deliveries, maintain schedules, and develop performance boards to report status to leadership.

The role requires a strong foundation in IE fundamentals, capacity modeling, and shop-floor collaboration. It offers a 9/80 schedule, relocation assistance, and opportunities to work across functional teams on aerospace projects.

Qualifications

• 2 Years of experience with Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field; 0 Years with a Masters
• Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security level clearance pre-start, with the ability to obtain a final Secret Security level clearance post-start within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing operations, production planning, or proposal estimating in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing.
• Experience developing bases of estimate, labor estimates, staffing plans, capacity models, or proposal inputs.
• Strong Excel modeling, presentation, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Track lab hardware deliveries and maintain schedules and metrics for leadership reporting
• Develop and maintain SQDEC (Schedule, Quality, Delivery, Employee, Cost) Boards with metrics
• Understand capacity, standards, and constraints in manufacturing
• Coordinate with shop floor and supply chain to optimize manufacturing flows
• Create and maintain labor standards and standard hour content
• Perform shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities
• Present technical briefings to upper management and leadership
