Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, to lead quality systems and process improvement initiatives across the facility. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on quality systems and process improvement.
• Proven experience with quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, FMEA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control techniques.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, balancing on-site analysis with remote planning and reporting.
• Experience with quality auditing is a plus.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards.
• Commitment to upholding high-quality standards in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape facility.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify sources of quality variation and defects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Design and conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve process capability and product consistency.
• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
• Develop and deliver training on quality standards and process improvements to production staff.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality of new products.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and process performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality procedures, inspections, and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
