Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer on-site in Queenstown to drive quality systems and process improvements. You will develop, implement, and maintain the QMS, lead CAPA actions, and collaborate across design, production, and procurement to ensure product quality throughout the lifecycle.

The role focuses on reducing defects, improving cycle times, and applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement within a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering.
• 3–5 years in industrial engineering with focus on quality systems and process improvement.
• Experience implementing ISO 9001 QMS.
• Strong knowledge of SPC, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma.
• Experience with process mapping, Lean, and workflow analysis.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the QMS in line with ISO 9001 and other standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for quality defects and implement CAPA.
• Lead process improvement projects to reduce waste and improve cycle times.
• Utilize SPC techniques to monitor production processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for quality operations.
• Conduct internal audits of quality systems and processes; report findings.
• Train production staff on quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, production, and procurement to ensure product quality.
