Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Quality Engineer to join a reputable automotive supplier in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will implement and manage the QMS, conduct audits, analyze quality data, and drive CAPA to prevent defects and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires a hands-on, results-driven professional with 4+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, plus strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of quality engineering in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with QMS and quality tools (SPC, FMEA, APQP).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in quality software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the QMS (ISO 9001).
• Conduct regular quality audits of processes, equipment, and finished goods.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and implement CAPA.
• Develop inspection and testing procedures to meet specs.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and supply chain to improve processes.
• Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Train staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Prepare quality reports, metrics, and trend analyses.
• Support NPI processes to address quality considerations.
