Job summary

Stantec in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Industrial Engineer to apply efficient solutions to complex challenges in industrial facilities. You will contribute to functional planning, workflow optimization, and facility layout with close guidance from senior engineers.

You will develop process flows, equipment lists, datasheets, and 3D models while coordinating with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure design quality and adherence to project standards.

Qualifications

• Experience translating client needs into project actions and deliverables.
• Ability to develop process flow diagrams, assign resources and time frames.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Understand client needs and translate into project team actions (prioritization, sequencing, execution, and delegation).
• Participate in on-site workshops and presentations with clients and other architects and engineers.
• Develop process flow diagrams identifying personnel, material, vehicle and equipment flows.
• Develop functional programs identifying area space needs, space gross-up factors, and requirements.
• Develop and compile equipment lists, schedules and datasheets.
• 3D modeling of industrial shops and storage equipment.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts to evaluate tradeoffs and craft practical design solutions.
• Plan and lead meetings and workshops across all project phases.
• Communicate effectively with team and project stakeholders.
