Job summary

JBS USA is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our Operational Excellence team at Council Bluffs. The role focuses on process optimization, data analytics, and cross-functional project leadership to improve throughput and reduce downtime.

You will work with Engineering, Maintenance, IT, and Production to implement equipment upgrades, layout changes, and standardized improvements, while ensuring food safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Industrial Engineering and continuous improvement.
• Ability to perform value stream mapping and time studies.
• Knowledge of OEE and process capability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Six Sigma, Lean, and PMP certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Design workflows, layouts, and cell configurations to improve throughput.
• Support QA to ensure food safety and regulatory standards.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects from concept to implementation.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards; report savings and ROI to leadership.
