Job summary

Jabil is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support planning, design, and optimization of integrated production and service systems at our Salt Lake City facility. You will analyze workflows, improve throughput, and drive cost-efficient changes across equipment, layouts, and personnel.

You will conduct time studies, develop cost estimates, coordinate tool procurement, ensure preventive maintenance, and champion safety and lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience applying industrial engineering principles in manufacturing or operations.
• Experience with process analysis, workflow optimization, time studies, and continuous improvement preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and engineering tools (AutoCAD, Visio, Project).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve quality and operational efficiency in assigned areas.
• Design and procure production tooling, equipment, and workstations.
• Coordinate facility layouts and workstation relocations.
• Conduct time studies and develop cost estimates.
• Optimize changeover processes and standardize work methods.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to reduce scrap.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure safety, health, environmental, and security policies are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
