Job summary

Main Sail LLC seeks Industrial Engineers to support Digital Twin applications within a multi-year Naval Shipyard program. Engineers work on site daily at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, coordinating with shop management and government engineers to ensure data consistency and model alignment.

Responsibilities include mapping processes, establishing data collection, supervising data collection, and helping optimize layouts and equipment through data-driven recommendations and modeling support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (e.g., Systems, Mechanical, Chemical or Nuclear Engineering).
• Experience supporting industrial/manufacturing/process data collection and analysis is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, self-driven and able to work well within a fluid, dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Map existing shop processes for fabrication, repair and overhaul activities using process flow and times via interviews and surveys.
• Establish a data collection strategy and forms for shop personnel to track process information and touch times.
• Oversee data collection and ensure consistency; support data analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with SMEs, team engineers and modelers to optimize processes and shop layouts with improvements and new technologies.
• Assist modeling team to refine processes in Plant Simulation and implement recommended changes.
