Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks an Industrial Engineer to design and validate the shipyard's physical manufacturing system. You will create building footprints, layouts, and capacity models across major shipyard functions, guiding automation-first processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, operations, and finance teams to optimize throughput and space efficiency in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design.
• Strong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy.
• Define building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverage.
• Establish square footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub-assembly, block assembly, and pre-outfitting.
• Develop capacity and throughput models.
• Ensure layouts support automation-first processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance.
