Job summary
FIXX Energy, a battery manufacturer in Smyrna, TN, seeks an Industrial Engineer to analyze and improve manufacturing processes within our plant operations. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and support a continuous improvement culture.
The ideal candidate has deep lean manufacturing knowledge and data-driven decision-making, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field is required.
- 3–5+ years of industrial engineering experience with plant production and operations.
- Experience with AutoCAD, BIM 360 or similar, and plant simulation tools.
Responsibilities
- KPI management: benchmarking and continuous improvement.
- Plant layout optimization and CAD file revisions.
- Material flow analysis across dock to process areas; Kanban sizing and buffer management.
- Capacity planning with Supply Chain; labor budget support and bottleneck identification.
- Simulation modeling maintenance and updates for each plant/product type.
