Job summary

ApplicantPool is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer in Spring Hill, TN to analyze and improve automotive production processes. You will develop layouts, optimize lines, and ensure efficient material flow while applying Lean methods to reduce waste.

The role requires at least two years of relevant experience, strong teamwork and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements safely and within schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 or more years of Industrial/Manufacturing engineering experience.
• Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Must know AutoCAD; Microsoft Access knowledge is preferred.
• Automotive experience is a plus.
• Must be a team player, pro-active and be able to perform under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve automotive manufacturing processes to increase productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing layouts, production lines, workstations, material flow, and equipment utilization.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and labor utilization studies.
• Develop standard work instructions, process documentation, and manufacturing procedures.
• Identify and eliminate waste using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous-improvement methodologies.
• Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, process validation, and production ramp-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process issues and support production launches.
• Monitor production data and KPIs to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
