Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial/Systems Engineer to analyze operations and optimize production layouts. You will design workflows, promote safety training, and lead cost-control studies across facilities.

Responsibilities include establishing standards, improving efficiency, and collaborating with facilities engineers. Requires a BS in engineering and 2+ years' experience with Lean/Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• BS in Industrial/Systems Engineering or related engineering field; 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong foundation in statistical data analysis to set production standards.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with AutoCAD, simulation software, and ERP systems.
• Clear verbal and written communication to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts.
• Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel; assess and implement accident prevention measures; may manage training programs for personnel.
• Conduct studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• Develop and implement manufacturing standards and programs for maintaining operational efficiency; assist facilities engineers in planning and design of facilities.
