Job summary

REI is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead engineered labor standards (ELS), labor management systems (LMS), and process design across the distribution center network. You will collaborate with DC Operations, Production Control, CI, and cross-functional teams to deploy scalable solutions that boost productivity and reduce costs while improving the team member experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years using Manhattan Associates Labor Management software or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience developing and implementing engineered labor standards and LMS.
• Distribution/Fulfillment center experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop standard work instructions with DC Operations teams to ensure validity and team member alignment.
• Validate and maintain engineered labor standards (ELS) using time studies, historical data, and predetermined time systems.
• Detect gaps between observed time and labor standards, and develops insights to improve productivity.
• Serve as the technical SME for LMS integrations, performance tracking, and LMS configurations.
• Collaborate with DC Operations, LMS Analyst, and Warehouse Analysts to ensure LMS integration and use.
• Conduct performance audits and observations to identify deviations and drive corrective action.
• Outline process, equipment, and system design improvements for optimal operations.
• Provide analytical decision support using IE skills, modeling, and optimization methods.
• Develop and standardize network-wide processes to improve throughput and safety.
• Collect data for continuous improvement, capacity analysis, and cost/benefit studies.
