This role partners closely with distribution center leadership to ensure labor standards are accurate, sustainable, and aligned with operational best practices. This role serves as a trusted thought partner to DC Operations, Production Control (PC), Continuous Improvement (CI), and cross‑functional stakeholders. This role is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and governance of engineered labor standards (ELS), optimizing labor management systems (LMS), and architecting solutions that enhance productivity, reduce cost, and improve the team member experience at scale. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Develop standard work instructions with DC Operations teams to ensure validity and team member alignment.
  • Support the development, validation, and maintenance of engineered labor standards (ELS) using time studies, historical data, and predetermined time systems (e.g., MOST, MSD, MTM).
  • Detect gaps between observed time and labor standards, and develops key insights to improve productivity.
  • Serve as the technical SME for LMS integrations, performance tracking, and labor standard configurations in partnership with CI, operations, and Warehouse Management Systems IT (WMIT).
