Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. in Kentucky seeks an Industrial Engineer 2, Supply Chain to apply IE discipline to established and new processes, systems, and equipment within FCs and DCs. You will analyze data, drive continuous improvement, and lead projects with Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize work flows and automation.

Responsibilities include time studies, AutoCAD layouts, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver data-driven solutions and manage medium-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
• AutoCAD, simulation, and SQL query experience highly desired.
• Strong understanding and application of end-to-end Industrial Engineering discipline, processes, and tools.
• Experience interacting and communicating clearly/concisely with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs complex data analysis to drive continuous improvement ideas and capacity/cost analyses.
• Leverages Lean Six Sigma to optimize and lead supply chain solutions for small to medium scope projects.
• Performs time and motion studies and evaluates time standards to improve productivity.
• Leads Standard Work efforts in collaboration with operations and CI teams.
• Creates AutoCAD layouts for space planning and process design.
• Develops methods and alternatives for processes, equipment, and system design.
• Manages medium complexity projects using project management methodologies.
