Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer I to apply advanced engineering methods within its fulfillment network, partnering with Supply Chain Operations leadership.

You will drive process improvements across FCs and DCs, using data-driven analysis, time studies, and space planning to optimize flows and automation, with mentorship to junior engineers and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience with distribution/fulfillment exposure
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
• AutoCAD, Simulation and SQL experience highly desired

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs complex data analysis to drive continuous improvement and cost-benefit initiatives
• Leads Lean Six Sigma projects to optimize medium to large scope supply chain operations
• Performs time and motion studies and benchmarks to improve workforce efficiency
• Mentors engineers and champions Standard Work in collaboration with operations teams
• Creates and delivers AutoCAD layouts for space planning and process improvements
• Delivers data-driven solutions in partnership with operations, product management and other stakeholders
