Job summary

Embraer in Melbourne, FL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to perform design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing operations, preparing plans, studies and analyses with lean manufacturing to reduce cost and cycle time.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Advanced Engineering Degree/Six Sigma (Black Belt) preferred, and 5+ years in aircraft manufacturing/maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Advanced engineering degree and/or Six Sigma—Black Belt preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years aircraft manufacturing/maintenance/repair experience.
• Adept at analyzing, interpreting and resolving complex information.
• Analytical and statistical tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with planning practices and tools.
• Proficient in Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MES, CATIA, and SAP.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Presentation skills
• Utilization of Lean Production concepts

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex engineering problems by analyzing data and reviewing drawings to support integration.
• Apply lean methodologies to improve labor flow and cost targets.
• Establish labor standards, line balancing, and factory layouts to improve material flow.
• Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment and practices with stakeholder input.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable specs and regulations.
