Job summary

ADUSA Distribution in Scarborough, ME is seeking an Industrial Engineer to shape our multi-building distribution campus by combining engineering expertise with strategic thinking to drive operational excellence.

You will partner with campus leadership and cross-functional teams to implement productivity improvements using activity-based costing, MOST methodology, and time-study analytics, influencing KPIs and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Project Management Certification.
• Proven experience driving productivity improvements in distribution, logistics, or related environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CAD drawings for complex, multi-building distribution campuses, translating requirements into facility layouts.
• Analyze workflows, material handling, and space utilization to identify process improvements with racking, forklifts, totes, and equipment.
• Develop, implement, and maintain engineered labor standards using MOST methodology while training teams.
• Continuously evaluate labor models to improve productivity and adapt to scheduling, seasonal demand, and process changes.
• Serve as IE SME and strategic partner for stakeholders, supporting business cases and capital planning.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support engineering requirements and permitting activities (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Partner with Operations and Finance to optimize incentive programs and validate performance metrics.
• Build relationships with industry associations and cross-functional partners to stay current on best practices.
