- Provide engineering consulting for process improvement, work measurement, strategic planning, Lean Six Sigma, automation, and special projects
- Lead and implement corporate and strategic initiatives using project management tools
- Develop and recommend solutions to maximize company-wide productivity and efficiency through work measurement, methods improvement, procedure analysis, and workflow analysis
- Create systems and reports to reduce manual effort, increase user productivity, and improve process efficiency
- Perform cost analysis and determine cost estimates related to resources, equipment, and processes
- Develop corporate robotic process automation (RPA) solutions
- Contribute to productivity and quality improvements through training, incentive, quality, operational, and administrative programs
- Conduct detailed process analysis, data collection, analysis, information reporting, tactical and strategic planning, and forecasting
- Collaborate with functional and operational areas and provide recommendations to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, or current enrollment with expected graduation within the next semester
- 3 months to 3 years of practical experience in business management, production management, industrial engineering, scheduling systems, or business operational research and analysis
- Working knowledge of business operations, work methods, production functions, processes, and workflow
- Ability to apply industrial engineering skills across a wide scope of organizational operations and functions
- Ability to lead, plan, organize, and implement critical strategic project teams
- Knowledge of methods design/analysis, job design/analysis, performance management, workflow documentation, work measurement, work simplification, ergonomics/human factors, quality assurance, planning and control, physical facility analysis, and safety
- High-level mathematical and data analysis skills using statistics, calculus, and engineering economic analysis
- Ability to create process documentation and use business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Microsoft Office experience including Access, Excel, Word, Visio, and Project
- Experience with specialized statistical software such as SAS, Minitab, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of LAN environments and mainframe computer systems
- Programming skills such as Visual Basic or SQL
- Must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment
- Pre-employment drug screening, criminal conviction check, employment verifications, and education verification as part of a conditional offer
- Master's degree in engineering, business, finance, or healthcare field preferred
- Healthcare payor business process experience preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred
- Experience with RPA and process automation tools such as UiPath preferred
