• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years of industrial, manufacturing, process engineering, or continuous improvement experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement projects.
• Strong experience with time studies, capacity analysis, workflow optimization, process mapping, and labor utilization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct time studies, labor analyses, and capacity studies to establish production standards.
• Monitor throughput, downtime, yield, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization.
• Lead initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
• Evaluate facility layouts, production flow, and equipment placement.

TAG Systems USA is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to drive process improvement, operational efficiency, capacity planning, and continuous improvement within our secure card manufacturing and personalization facility.

This mid- to senior-level position will analyze and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, labor utilization, equipment performance, facility layout, and production capacity. The Industrial Engineer will work directly on the production floor and collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, IT, and management to implement measurable operational improvements.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on engineer who combines strong analytical skills with practical manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct time studies, labor analyses, work measurement, and capacity studies to establish production standards.
• Monitor production data, including throughput, downtime, yield, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization.
• Develop and implement solutions to improve productivity, reduce cycle times and waste, increase capacity, and control manufacturing costs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
• Evaluate and improve production layouts, equipment placement, workstations, material flow, and space utilization.
• Perform capacity analyses to determine equipment, labor, space, and resource requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, technology, and equipment improvements.
• Develop and maintain standardized processes, work instructions, and performance measurements.
• Partner with Production and Maintenance to improve equipment utilization, reliability, and operational performance.
• Support new product and customer implementations by evaluating capacity, labor, equipment, and workflow requirements.
• Develop cost‑benefit and ROI analyses for equipment, automation, and process improvement projects.
• Lead cross‑functional improvement projects from analysis through implementation and follow‑up.
• Support capital planning by identifying investments that improve capacity, efficiency, quality, or operational performance.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with company safety, quality, security, and confidentiality requirements.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support engineering and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
• 5–8+ years of industrial, manufacturing, process engineering, or continuous improvement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing process improvement projects.
• Strong experience with time studies, capacity analysis, workflow optimization, process mapping, and labor utilization.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with facility layout, production flow, and equipment placement.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
• Experience developing cost‑benefit and ROI analyses.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing systems preferred.
• AutoCAD or similar layout software experience preferred.
• Power BI or similar analytics experience is a plus.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
• Regular presence on the production floor is required.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout production and operational areas for extended periods.
• Ability to work around manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Flexibility to observe operations across multiple shifts when necessary.
• Must comply with all company safety, security, confidentiality, and access‑control requirements.
