TAG Systems USA is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee logistics, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, shipping, and receiving within our card manufacturing and personalization operation. This mid- to senior-level role partners with Production, Quality, Finance, and Maintenance to align activities with business priorities.

The role requires 7+ years in supply chain/logistics and 3+ years in management, with strong negotiation and ERP/MRP experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, procurement, or materials management.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in related functions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and inventory management important.

Job description

TAG Systems USA is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee logistics, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, shipping, and receiving within our secure card manufacturing and personalization operation.

This mid- to senior-level management position is responsible for ensuring materials and supplies are available to support production while maintaining appropriate inventory levels, controlling costs, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring accurate and timely shipments.

The Logistics Manager will work closely with Production, Quality, Finance, Maintenance, and management to align purchasing and supply chain activities with operational requirements and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead logistics, supply chain, purchasing, inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Manage the flow of materials from purchasing and supplier coordination through receipt, inventory, production support, and shipment.
• Oversee purchasing of raw materials, production supplies, packaging materials, equipment, spare parts, and services.
• Develop purchasing and inventory strategies that support production while controlling costs.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and lead times.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues involving shortages, pricing, quality, or late deliveries.
• Partner with Production to forecast material requirements and ensure availability to meet production schedules.
• Establish inventory levels and reorder points to minimize shortages, excess inventory, and carrying costs.
• Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and inventory discrepancies.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure appropriate approvals and documentation are maintained.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight providers, couriers, and other logistics partners.
• Develop contingency plans for supplier disruptions, material shortages, and transportation delays.
• Identify secondary sourcing opportunities to reduce supply chain risk.
• Monitor and report on inventory, purchasing costs, supplier performance, logistics expenses, and supply chain risks.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for materials, purchasing, freight, and other supply chain expenses.
• Partner with Quality and Finance on supplier quality, inventory controls, invoices, and vendor records.
• Support new products, equipment, customers, and operational projects by coordinating sourcing and material requirements.
• Lead and develop employees within logistics, purchasing, shipping, receiving, and inventory functions.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, security, quality, and confidentiality requirements.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support supply chain and business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, procurement, or materials management, preferably in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or a related function preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, inventory management, material planning, shipping, receiving, and transportation.
• Experience negotiating supplier pricing, lead times, contracts, and commercial terms.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning and its relationship to production schedules and customer demand.
• Experience with freight, carrier management, and domestic or international shipping preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, purchasing, inventory, or warehouse management systems required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work in both office and manufacturing/warehouse environments.
• Ability to regularly walk through production, warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas.
• Ability to work around manufacturing and material-handling equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move materials as required.
• Flexibility to respond to urgent supply chain or production issues when necessary.
• Must comply with all company safety, security, confidentiality, and access-control requirements.
