Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. seeks an Industrial Engine Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar engines in a variety of equipment and applications.

You will provide expert field service support for our Caterpillar Industrial line, perform safety‑minded maintenance, and document findings with clear reports for customers and office personnel. The role requires strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, reading schematics, and the ability to work with urgency.

Qualifications

• Experience with Caterpillar Diesel and Natural Gas Engines.
• Read electrical schematics and equipment drawings.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to read electrical schematics and equipment mechanical drawings.
• Must be 21+ years old and have a valid driver\'s license.
• Ability to pass background checks, MVR, and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnose and repair Caterpillar and other diesel engines in various equipment.
• Write full reports on findings from field service events.
• Maintain a safe, neat work environment and safe working practices.
• Respond to customer needs in a timely, supportive manner and communicate status.
• Overtime and after-hours availability as required; obtain CDL if needed.
