Job summary

Plain Dealing Lumber in Plain Dealing, LA is seeking an Industrial Electrician to keep sawmill and planer operations running safely and reliably. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and automated equipment across the facility, serving as the primary electrical resource on shift.

This full-time, shift-based role offers Monday–Friday 6:00 am–6:00 pm or Thursday–Monday 6:00 am–6:00 pm, with hourly pay between $32 and $42 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical trade training preferred.
• Valid Louisiana electrician license or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum 3 years in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably sawmill/heavy manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and motor controls.
• Diagnose issues in production equipment, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and control circuits.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and manuals to support work.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure NEC compliance and safety procedures (LOTO, NFPA 70E).
• Collaborate with maintenance team to minimize downtime.
