Job summary

Interfor in Bay Springs, Mississippi seeks an Industrial Electrician on night shift to keep our sawmill running safely and efficiently. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and PLC-based controls across the mill.

You’ll read schematics, work with electrical drawings, and perform preventive maintenance while adhering to lock-out procedures and safety standards. Night shift premium is offered and a quarterly gainshare bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or a technical degree.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the mill.
• Read and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLCs, AC drives, motors, and other control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to lock-out procedures and isolate equipment before work begins.
• Plan and manage work assignments with minimal supervision.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders detailing work performed, parts used, and time required.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
