Job summary

Coushatta Forest Products is hiring an Electrician to join our on-site maintenance team in a heavy industrial sawmill environment. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across production lines, conveyors, and control panels.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical wiring, PLCs, and safety standards, with the ability to read blueprints and work under tight deadlines. On-site shifts with overtime are common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in sawmills/manufacturing.
• Completed electrician apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per codes and safety standards.
• Diagnose faults in PLCs, AC/DC drives, sensors, and motor control centers under deadlines.
• Wire new sawmill machinery, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and lighting per blueprints.
• Follow LOTO, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations in heavy industrial or outdoor settings.
• Recommend upgrades and keep detailed maintenance records.
• Inspect wiring, panels, transformers, and automation scanners to prevent stoppages.
