Job summary

West Fraser in Henderson, Texas, seeks an Industrial Electrician to troubleshoot, maintain and improve electrical systems within our Lumber Mill facility. The role covers testing, inspection and upgrading PLCs, along with coordination with vendors and supervision to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include updating diagrams, programming VSDs, and maintaining power distribution. Requires 4–5 years of electrical experience in industrial settings and willingness for rotating

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime and be on-call for 24/7 operations.
• 4–5 years of Electrician experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

Responsibilities

• Test electrical systems and circuits in wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components for hazards or defects.
• Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade PLCs.
• Collaborate with vendors to identify parts and report to Supervisor.
• Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E&I drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Program AC and DC variable speed drives.
• Update power distribution systems, MCCs, and switchgear.
• Install electrical equipment.
