Job summary

West Fraser’s Maplesville, AL facility seeks an Electrical Controls Supervisor to support electrical, instrumental, and process control systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul automation components while guiding the local maintenance team.

The role requires strong analytical skills, PLC/Process control experience, and a readiness to respond to emergencies with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Travel is limited, with a focus on uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Allen Bradley products, VFD drives, soft starters, and HMIs.
• Experience supervising maintenance and skilled trades in an industrial setting.
• Ability to manage small projects and day-to-day work planning.
• Strong trouble-shooting skills for electrical/control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve PLC and automation control systems.
• Train mill personnel to elevate skill levels.
• Engage with mill staff to address needs and provide effective support.
• Lead and develop the electrical team for uptime and safety.
• Troubleshoot drives, PLCs, and control issues and communicate with mill personnel.
