Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or associate degree preferred.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license as required by state/local jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience in a wood products or continuous process environment.
• Strong knowledge of 480V 3-phase power, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems; familiar with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including motors, transformers, relays, circuit breakers, and VFDs.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems with machinery, systems, and processes.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Work with PLCs including troubleshooting, programming, and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to support uptime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and equipment records.
• Participate in root cause analysis and propose long-term solutions.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns during regular hours or on-call rotation.
