Job summary

International Paper is seeking an Electrician/Mechanic based at the Mount Vernon Box Facility in Mount Vernon, OH. This full-time, Monday–Friday position pays $38.28 per hour and involves troubleshooting PLCs and drives, maintaining equipment, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, PLC and motor control proficiency, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience required.
Experience in a corrugated manufacturing facility preferred.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, motor controls & drives, mechanical power transmissions, welding & metal fabrication, pneumatic & hydraulic troubleshooting & repair, lift truck safety & repair, and PC literacy.
Must complete a maintenance test, drug screening, and background/employment verification.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot programmable controllers and AC/DC drives; repair drives and control systems.
Maximize equipment utilization by maintaining machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
Follow up all work orders to ensure proper repairs and entry into maintenance software.
Plan and schedule maintenance work.
Comply with company policies including safety and housekeeping.
