Job summary

International Paper is seeking an Electrician/Mechanic based at the Mount Vernon Box Facility in Mount Vernon, OH. This full-time, Monday–Friday position pays $38.28 per hour and involves troubleshooting PLCs and drives, maintaining equipment, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of maintenance experience, PLC and motor control proficiency, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience required.
• Experience in a corrugated manufacturing facility preferred.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, motor controls & drives, mechanical power transmissions, welding & metal fabrication, pneumatic & hydraulic troubleshooting & repair, lift truck safety & repair, and PC literacy.
• Must complete a maintenance test, drug screening, and background/employment verification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and AC/DC drives; repair drives and control systems.
• Maximize equipment utilization by maintaining machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
• Follow up all work orders to ensure proper repairs and entry into maintenance software.
• Plan and schedule maintenance work.
• Comply with company policies including safety and housekeeping.

The Job You Will Perform

• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and A/C and D/C drives. Make necessary repairs to drives and their control system use.
• Maximum the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
• Follow-up all work orders to ensure repairs and work are preformed properly and entered into the maintenance software program.
• Plan and schedule maintenance work.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.

The Skills You Will Bring
