Job summary

International Paper in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Electrician to maintain production equipment and support plant operations on a 24/5 schedule (shift rotation from 7 AM–3 PM, 3 PM–11 PM, 11 PM–7 AM). The role requires an LME/PJ/General Journeyman Electrician License and involves installing wiring, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and reading schematics and PLC logic.

• LME/PJ/General Journeyman Electrician License is required.
• Electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be able to pass an advanced industrial skills and instrumentation/electrician knowledge test prior to interview.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment.
• Follow safety rules and practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Perform emergency/breakdown maintenance to support plant operations.
• Read electrical diagrams, schematics, and PLC ladder logic.
• Install wire and conduit for equipment and machines.
• Diagnose and repair electrical components and drives.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and records.
