Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks an Electrician to maintain and repair electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshoot PLCs, ensuring safety and policy adherence. You will participate in preventative maintenance, decode ladder diagrams, and work with engineering on upgrades and new installations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years in a relevant field, with familiarity in Allen-Bradley/Siemens PLCs and motor controls. OT and varying shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• The employee should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and training or certification in relevant skill or trade.
• 1–2 years' experience in a relevant field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical equipment in production areas and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Follow safety policies and participate in preventative maintenance.
• Read diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues and guide repairs.
• Assist engineering on electrical upgrades and new equipment installations.
• Operate various lifts and maintain clean, safe work areas.
